Firebolt (The Dragonian Series #1)
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
*I received this eBook free from author on behalf of LaLa’s Blog for an honest review.*
Synopsis:
"Dragons. Right. Teenage girls don’t believe in fairy tales, and sixteen-year old Elena Watkins was no different.
Until the night a fairy tale killed her father.
Now Elena’s in a new world, and a new school. The cutest guy around may be an evil dragon, a Prince wants Elena’s heart, and a long dead sorcerer may be waking up to kill her. Oh. And the only way Elena’s going to graduate is on the back of a dragon of her own.
Teenage girls don’t believe in fairy tales. Now it’s time for Elena to believe – in herself".
Elena Watkins life change the night she discovered the existence of Dragons, she lost her father and no longer after that begin her life in Paegeia, a place where magical beings really exist.
Elena character sometimes can be annoying, she cry and whine a lot in the beginning but considering that she had just lost her father, thrown into a foreign world and have to face things that previously only existed in fairy tales, it’s all understandable. Despite her annoying side, she’s a brave girl, still feel scared but she stop running away and face the problems. I love her sarcasm, it make me laugh quite a lot.
Many characters introduced in this book, fortunately the author have a great ability to explore each character so I can recognize and remember them all.

Questions arise and that keep me turning the page, sometimes I can pull some interesting speculation from that questions but who knows, I must read the series to confirm it *grin*.
I almost give up reading YA genre because of all the drama, it makes me tired, until I find synopsis of this book and decide to give it a try. All in all, this book have an interesting story and many potential in it.
Woohoo! That's my the very first review, sorry for the messed up grammar :).
